Pet Odor Removal
Pet urine in carpeting can be difficult to address with standard cleaning alone. Allaire Chem-Dry offers Pet Urine Removal Treatment (P.U.R.T.®) as an optional service for carpeted areas affected by pet urine odors. A technician can inspect the affected area and recommend the appropriate service options.

Pet urine in carpeting can affect carpet fibers, backing, padding, and nearby flooring materials. Depending on the severity of the issue, professional inspection and treatment may be recommended. Allaire Chem-Dry‘s Pet Urine Removal Treatment (P.U.R.T.®) is designed for areas affected by pet urine odors and can be discussed as part of your service appointment.
What to Know About Pet Urine in Carpeting
Urine can move beyond the surface of the carpet and may reach the backing, pad, or flooring beneath. Pets may also return to the same general area, which can make odor concerns more noticeable over time. The right service approach depends on the location, severity, carpet type, and whether padding or flooring materials have been affected.
As urine dries, odor-causing residue may remain in the carpet or surrounding materials. A technician can inspect the area and explain the recommended cleaning or treatment options.
How P.U.R.T.® Service Works
- The technician inspects the affected area to help determine the location and severity of the odor concern.
- The carpet may be rinsed and extracted to help remove urine-related residue from the affected area.
- In more involved situations, the carpet may be pulled back to inspect the pad and subfloor.*
- If necessary, the pad may be removed and replaced.*
- An odor-blocking product may be applied to the subfloor if recommended after inspection.*
- P.U.R.T.® may be applied to affected areas such as the carpet backing, tack strip, subfloor, baseboards, or carpet fibers, depending on the situation.*
- Your technician will review drying time, follow-up guidance, and any additional recommendations before completing the service.
*Additional charges may apply based on the condition of the affected area and the services recommended. Please call Allaire Chem-Dry to learn more about P.U.R.T.® at (732) 751-8520.
