What to Know About Pet Urine in Carpeting

Urine can move beyond the surface of the carpet and may reach the backing, pad, or flooring beneath. How P.U.R.T.® Service Works

1. The technician inspects the affected area to help determine the location and severity of the odor concern.
2. The carpet may be rinsed and extracted to help remove urine-related residue from the affected area.
3. In more involved situations, the carpet may be pulled back to inspect the pad and subfloor.*
4. If necessary, the pad may be removed and replaced.*
5. An odor-blocking product may be applied to the subfloor if recommended after inspection.*
6. P.U.R.T.® may be applied to affected areas such as the carpet backing, tack strip, subfloor, baseboards, or carpet fibers, depending on the situation.*
7. Your technician will review drying time, follow-up guidance, and any additional recommendations before completing the service.
